Oversized book with black and white illustrations inside. Only 14 of the pictures are actual concert posters, the rest are line illustrations by Lee Conklin. The rock posters are not reproduced in color here, even though they were printed in color during the original run. This makes the drawing technique of the work even more impressive when viewed. Lee's work is very rich in depth, with lots of movement and hidden imagery in it. The color almost makes it a distraction when really trying to study the pictures in depth, so this is an excellent way to view them.
This book can be very expensive ($100 to $500) due to the limited print run, the age of the book, and the fragile binding. Complete intact copies are hard to come by with only 5000 originally printed. This is currently the only book that focuses on Lee Conklin's early work. According to an article I read somewhere, Lee sold the originals a long time ago so you're unlikely to see most of these pictures anywhere else.
The rock posters are all from the Bill Graham Presents concerts, the following numbers are in there.
