This book is one of the very first books published on the San Francisco psychedelic poster scene of the late 1960s. You'll find it listed in the bibliography of almost every single poster book that references the posters of that era. It's more of a catalog, complete with a page at the back with a list of prices and numbers to order reproductions (most for around a dollar, for posters that even in a second or third printing now command hundreds of dollars).

Most posters are represented in black and white, yet despite this, the strong imagery used in most of these posters is still evident. Of the dozen or so posters reproduced in color here, the colors are very sharp for a book printed in the 1960s. If you see it for under $50 it's a must buy for anyone serious about collecting concert poster books.
